The sun shone this year for Botton Village open day which took place on Sunday 7th July.
Lots of visitors from far and wide made the most of the weather by taking tea on the village green whilst listening to live music played by local musicians.
Hayrides, Flying Fox (pictured), coconut shy and face painting were amongst the many activities enjoyed by the young and old.
The yearly tombola held in the Joan of Arc Hall by the Fundraising Team (for the residents Christmas party) was popular with both visitors and residents meaning that most of the prizes were won by the time people started to go home.
At the Pick-A-String stall most of the chocolate prizes had melted but it didn't deter residents Alan and James from encouraging people to have a go. The Barbecue, as usual, was popular and by the end of the day was sold out of Botton's organic beefburgers.
Thank you to everyone who visited, lets hope next year will be just as good.
The open day is always planned for the 1st Sunday in July, so don't forget to put a date in your diary now!
